Co-owners, Diana and Ashling met 7 years ago during the beginning of their university careers where they bonded over a mutual love of the outdoors, keeping active and a not-so-guilty-pleasure for the TV show “Gilmore girls.”
Pura Vida was imagined shortly after New Years day in 2015 when the two began discussing their goals for the upcoming year. The clichéd statement of living a healthier life was mentioned, but it was the discussion that followed that ultimately sparked the idea behind Pura Vida. After lamenting over the amount of chemicals used in their home and beauty products, the two decided it was time to turn this cliché into a reality. Their passion for clean living, combined with a desire to start something new, is the driving force behind this Vancouver-based company.
All of our products are handmade in Vancouver, B.C. using high quality essential oils, soy wax, organic butters and premium cotton wicks. Our containers and bottles are reusable and easy to store.
